Julia Morizawa

Julia Morizawa is a Los Angeles based actor with extensive experience in film, television, theatre, webseries and podcasts. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Equity, and is represented by Kings Highway Entertainment. Career highlights include the feature films Judas Kiss and Tied Up; TV appearances on Lewis Black's The Root of all Evil and ER; the title role in East West Players' production of Masha No Home; series regular roles on the webseries Star Trek: Odyssey and Frontier Guard; and the lead role in the narrative podcast The Bright Sessions. She is a graduate of The Second City Hollywood and is currently studying at The BGB Studio in Los Angeles. Julia is also available to work as a local hire in Portland, Oregon and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Julia has also written, produced and starred in some of her own original projects including:

JesusCat (or How I Accidentally Joined a Cult) (feature film): an improvisational mockumentary, co-created with Shaina Vorspan, about a vlogger, a cat, a cult and the second-coming of Jesus Christ. Won a number of festival awards in 2013-2014 and is currently available on DVD.

Twenty-Two (stage play): premiered at the Knightsbridge Theatre in January 2010. LA Theatre Review stated, "Well, if art is supposed to imitate life, Twenty Two has accomplished its mission. The characters are totally believable, the dialogue is as natural as it gets and the acting overall is amazingly realistic."

Sin & Lyle (short film): nominated for Best Female Filmmaker at the Action on Film International Film Festival and official selection at the Boulder Asian Film Festival in 2007. The film is currently available to view in full on IMDB.

Memoirs of a Wannabe Sex Addict (book): a collection of short erotic stories, currently available on Amazon (paperback and Kindle). Erotica Revealed stated, "Morizawa is a first-rate writer. The quality of the writing blends literate prose with an accessible style that few authors can manage."
